Original color-illustrated decorative cloth spanned over wooden box and board portfolio flaps with printed brown and black calligraphy on cover and brown string lever attached to board. This copy is #5 of a limited edition of 100 copies. The work is a textile design catalog containing a loose-leaf collection of 50 leaves of beautiful, bright colored woodblock illustrations of textiles from around the world by Ema Susumu, supervised by Ema Tsutomu. Each plate features 3 to 6 color images. "It has been a while since the Second World War ended. It is time for us to think about new fashion of textile culture... this catalog will make a great contribution to lead the new fashion of textiles." (Ema Tsutomu). Printed captions in Japanese. Preliminary leaves include the title, preface, and a detailed table of contents.
Three plates with text in Japanese. Minor spots on covers with very light bumps to corners. Some age toning of title page and along edges of plates not affecting images.
