Hand Colored Print of Fruit Botanical Grapes Gooseberry Raspberry circa 1869

The print is a 'plate' from "Orbis Pictus: Bilderbuch zur Anschaung und Belehrung, by Carl Friedrich Lauckhard, " published in Leipzig by Voigt & Günther, in 1860.

The print is a hand-colored steel engraving printed on wove paper.
The sheet measures 10 X 7 inches and is in good condition aside from age toning, minor foxing spots, small bends along the right edge, a small tear on the bottom edge and very small losses in the tips of the corners.

It is inscribed with plate numbers in the upper corners and the name of the engraver on the lower right corner : "G. Brinkmann gest. Leip." [This is short for Brinkmann gestalt Leipzig - engraved in Leipzig.]


There is nothing printed on the reverse side.

This is an antique print guaranteed to be over 150 years old. It is not a modern re-print.
Rarity : Extremely Rare and becoming hard to find.
