19th century Illuminated Manuscript Leaf safavid Fabulous Calligraph

A fairly large leaf from an illuminated Koran, Safavid Persia, early 17th century on paper (260 x 165 mm.). The Safavid dynasty ruled from Persia 1502–1736 and installed Shia rather than Sunni Islam as the state religion.
