This is a set of two genuine woodblock prints circa early 1950s. The prints are by the famous Japanese printmaker Ohno Bakufu (1888-1976). Size of these prints is oban, about 16 1/8" x 11 1/4".
Print with single red flower: Print is marked in margin "Printed by Kyoto Hanga in 1952". Condition - edges are toned from being previously framed. Overall front is in very good condition. Back of print is clean but shows signs of oxidation of pigments. Print has been stored in acid free plastic sleeve and will be shipped in same.
Print with three pink flowers: margin writing for this print is in Japanese. Condition - edges are toned from being previously framed. Mounting tape residue on top and left side margin.
