This is an excellent, beautiful copies of thirteen famous period horses (stallions) from S.F. Touchstone's (pseudonym for Georges Des Farges) 1st edition of "Thoroughbreds and Stallion Racehorses" C. 1890. A portfolio with accompanying text featuring portraits of famous English and French Race Horses. This plate comes from the very limited edition of 520 copies published in English by John C. Nimmo.
There is typical age toning, some have foxing but does not affect the horse image. Please see photos for detailed conditions, but overall these are gorgeous. They are from a folio, not taken from a book, they are meant to be displayed!
Plates from this folio sell for 150 and up on here, and upwards of $200 in the market.
