Large hardback. Red boards with gilt titles to spine. Heavily illustrated – a total of 132 colour full page plates of British birds (see photos below) 340 pages (including index). Brown endpapers. A very large, heavy book hence postage costs. 25cm x 19cm x 6cm.

Contents: Birds of Britain and their nests brought to life by some beautiful illustrations. Plates include: puffin; red grouse; pheasant; kestrel; kite; buzzard; barn owl; greenfinch ; swallow and many MORE!



Good / Very Good Condition – Covers in very good condition – clean and gilt still bright. A few scratches to rear cover. Internally very good –Book is clean, unmarked - no inscriptions, no scribbles, no annotations etc. All pages and plates present (I have counted the plates and they are all there). Binding is excellent, tight, no loose pages. Book does have some foxing throughout, mainly to edges of pages but the good news is that the plates are unaffected. Plate 130 does have some creases and a couple of closed tears to edges – others plates all very good.

Overall a good / very good copy of this antique book with some lovely colour illustrations of British birds
